Boeing latest: FAA grilled by House Transportation Cmte

Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration were questioned by members of Congress at a hearing of the House Transportation Committee on Wednesday. Criticism is mounting against the FAA for failing to intervene when pilots repeatedly warned them about safety issues with the Boeing 737 Max 8. RT America’s Rachel Blevins reports. Then Jamie Finch, former director of Public and Family Affairs for the National Transportation Safety Board, joins Scottie Nell Hughes to discuss Boeing’s decision to “cut corners” in its rivalry with AirBus. He says the oversight arose from “pressure from the money” and considers the faulty Max 8 planes to be “a very bad hiccup” from an otherwise “excellent company.”
