Listeria risk prompts Meijer to recall produce in 6 states


The grocery store, Meijer, recalled 39 vegetable products, which include items like store made vegetable trays, broccoli florets and asparagus spears. Listeriosis is a serious infection typically caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium listeria monocytogenes. Certain people are at increased risk of serious infection, including pregnant women and newborns.
